Hanner Industries Inc. was founded in 1968 by Erwin Hanner. A machinist by trade, Erwin was trained in Germany before moving to the United States. Initially Erwin conducted business in his home, with no employees, and with only a single 6-ft engine lathe. As the company grew, Hanner moved to a facility located at Cottman Avenue and State Road in Philadelphia before moving to its current location in Bristol, PA in 1972. The company is now owned and operated by Erwin’s son, Ulrich Hanner, and employs a workforce of approximately 30.
